Movies to see

I've been looking around on apple movie trailers and saw some interesting trailers that might be worth watching.

I Am Legend - A movie based on the science fiction novel by Richard Matheson

I'm still sorta confused why this has separate trailers on apple movies, reading up a bit on it i discovered that I Am Legend is the original story by Richard Matheson. it was made into a movie called Last Man on Earth in 1964 and the new Will Smith version looks like a revival of the title. Also, the trailer of the first one seems to be pictures of the comic book where it was taken from and the other is the live action version of the trailer.

National Treasure: Book of Secrets - The sequel to the first National Treasure film, I am sort of expecting this film to be another kiddie Da Vinci Code clone. Hopefully it would still be a good watch for entertainment value.

Dr. Seuss: Horton hears a who! - Another Dr. Seuss, book in which Jim Carrey will be in (the first being the Grinch). The animation is really well done and its very attractive to people who want to relive the days where books were the best form of children's education and entertainment.

Rambo - I just want to see this if it would have the same cheezy plot as part 2, 3, 4, etc. "live for something or die for nothing" the line sounds like the cheezy "Live free of die hard". See it and be the judge.

Jumper - Also based on the novel named Jumper by Stephen Gould. The movie effects are great and who would not want to have the power to teleport anywhere you want to.

Cloverfield - Produced by J.J. Abrams (the producer of Lost) this film seems to be a holocaust film that has yet to be told. The teaser trailer sort of reminds me of my favorite holocaust film "The Day After" but after seeing the theatrical trailer it give a Godzilla + Blair Witch + Aliens kinda feel.

Fresh Start

With the holiday vacations coming up soon its time to look at the new things coming in this year.

Xmas and new things

Sorry i haven't put up any new pics as my sister borrowed my camera to take pictures of her new baby boy.


Anyways, we have finally gotten the x-mas tree up and decided to decorate it with edible goods (candy cane, gingerbread cookies and other stuff) we figured that it would be easier to clean up after x-mas as all we have to do is let guests pick a treat up after the come to visit and hopefully the tree will only have the lights on it by the end of Christmas.


Also, going to start exploring work tomorrow and hopefully I'll get lots of new things to do.

Tried Guild Wars

I've been trying Guild Wars the last couple of days and it seems like an interesting game.

I have a couple of comments about the game though:

1. You never seem to have enough energy to do anything - it seems like all the skills require energy and whatever cool spells you have will have a cooldown thats so long. Makes the dual class option sorta useless.

2. No Threat? - seems like the monsters will run at your ranged guys first since they always get the first blow in.

3. No Armor Drops - seems like all the armor have to get crafted by NPC armorers in the towns using materials you get from monster drops.

4. Not a very helpful game - its hard to get information about how to do what anywhere.

5. Trees and terrain always in the way - when you are running around in the wilderness there doesn't seem to be any alpha blending for the trees and you have to swing the camera around to get a better view of things.

Will post more after i get around to playing the game some more.

AH Farming FTW

I have been farming the horde auction house for cheap deals and it paying off. I started with 20gold and I'm up by about 200g. Not bad for a few minutes browsing through the pages of useless goods.

Annoying little things

I was trying to updated our game web page and the servers are slow to respond. The service sucks but i guess i can't complain since a guildie is sponsoring the payments for the page.

Also, still waiting for the new job to call. I was informed that HR will call me as soon as possible. *sigh* maybe i should start looking around for other job opportunities.
