District 1 - Vietnam

We went to district 1 today and was finally able to get some good pictures before we left. District 1 is the backpacking district and is frequented by the tourists because of the dry market and the shops around it.

Inside Ben Thanh

After Ben Thanh market, we went a few blocks down to get some money changed and i saw some a couple of nice buildings and a park in the middle. The sculptures on the buildings were amazingly beautiful and it is nice to see that they keep it well maintained to preserve its beauty.

The surrounding buildings are department stores and some smaller shops on the ground floor. i would assume that some of the bigger buildings are office spaces.

This has become an interesting hobby which i should try doing back at home. I guess you don't realize how much more home has until you have lived outside the country.
